Sustainable Living
Before I get back to simple living, if I ever do, “sustainable living” is a term much easier to describe. It often comes down to having enough money. For today and all other days until you die, even if you lose your job tomorrow. What’s not sustainable? 58% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck. Major surgery? Broke. A car accident? Broke. Flooding in the house? Broke and homeless. The list can go on.
Simple Living
I run in circles, doing the same things over and over again and expecting different results. All I need is one slow day. A breath of fresh air, in complete isolation from the world, without worrying what to eat and where to sleep tomorrow. I started meditating again, and it helps keep me grounded. I stop meditating, and the uncertainty of the next day creeps back in. Sometimes I contemplate becoming a monk.
I Lived Out Of a Backpack For 6 Months
How long can you go without buying anything new? When was the last time you’ve ordered something on Amazon? Mine back in January. That’s right, half a year ago. While this is not entirely true, and I bought a pair of shoes, wore them down to ashes and bought another one, plus 5 new pairs of toe socks, I haven’t bought anything else, and to be completely honest with you, never really wanted to.
Startup Founder's Journey. Episode 4.
Back in April, we failed to raise money from Antler, but decided to stick together and keep building. Since then, we’ve been back and forth on ideas, and I should say, starting from scratch every time is hella exhausting. A week ago we pushed the storytelling app for kids out there, and it helped refine our values and vision. We want to keep building no matter what, with every new product making us smarter, stronger and closer to our goal.
Building Products is Fun
My co-founder and I just heard back from Google, and the app is now published on both App Store and Google Play. It is a great feeling when something that was once an idea in Armaan’s head became tangible and is now there, right in my pocket. Funny enough, the first release took us 3 days to build and another 3 weeks to get approvals from the big tech monopoly Google and Apple.
