life updates after the hacker news post
After my last post went viral two weeks ago, I didn't publish anything else, so people are probably thinking “what the hell did I subscribe too?”
Well, that's me…
And in my defense, I have a lot on my mind that I would love to share. I drafted two big posts that I didn't publish, and I had enough thoughts for a couple more. But things got really busy at work. And even as I was writing release notes for blymp today, trying to slip in a bit of creativity into a routine customer update, I was thinking that I would instead prefer doing something else. And something else means sales and coding.
In the last two weeks, we launched a new cold outreach campaign, and I got swamped with leads. Turned out, international customers want our product way more than the American ones. The toughest part is still in closing the sales, but at least I am getting some traction after a month of dead silence.
Apart from that, one of our customers finally switched to a paid plan after 7 months of my underestimated patience and long convincing emails. We are back in business, baby!
I am excited about all the updates happening with blymp and can't wait to see what the next couple of months will be like.
That being said, I am still broke. And therefore started looking for part-time gigs and jobs. A few prospects might come out of it in the following weeks, but if you have anything in mind for a skillful-talented-and-especially-aspiring engineer like me, please shoot me a message. Many thanks!
That's it for the updates for now, and hopefully, I'll get some more time to write in the next few days. It's Christmas after all — time to take a little break, decompress, and publish a blog post or two :)
